This page outlines the original vision for how The New Elites token ecosystem.
However, the project's scope has downsized to a single season.
This information is intended for historical purposes only.
Target: Make $IORO deflationary for long-term stability.
Solution: Implement eco-bound tokens to overcome inflation.
The New Elites introduces eco-bound tokens from season three, creating a dual token system.
Eco-bound tokens (official name TBD) are only useful within a project’s ecosystem.
The New Elites transitions to using ‘eco-bound tokens’ as the main driver for generating points from season three. This creates a situation where it is possible to implement new game mechanics and incentives without increasing the $IORO token supply.
Let's say TNE has a historic NFT run and reaches season three, and the theme for S3 is something like 'Biker Wars'. In-line with the new theme, let's visualise the throne concept as a 'biker clubhouse''.
Players purchase game assets with their eco-bound tokens to generate and eliminate points. Players use these game assets for or against the clubhouse their elite is connected to.
The game assets compliment the biker theme. Let's run with this idea and introduce 4 game asset that can only be purchased with eco-bound tokens: Asset-1: Bullet Asset-2: Bomb Asset-3: Harley Asset-4: Tattoo Shop
Bullets and bombs eliminate points from the other teams. Harleys and Tattoo Shops generate points for the player's team.
Players must now strategically decide whether to:
Trade their $ECO-BOUND tokens for items that generate points
Trade their $ECO-BOUND tokens for items that eliminate points
Trade their $ECO-BOUND tokens for $IORO for exclusive perks
Trade their $ECO-BOUND tokens for $IORO to engage in DeFi
Eco-bound tokens become the source for generating game points, where game assets are purchased from The New Elites market (embedded in the website, intended from season three). Eco-bound tokens are burned when players use them to buy game assets. Alternatively, players have the option to trade their eco-bound tokens for $IORO. The $ECO-BOUND tokens create a self contained game economy, and $IORO connects the game economy to IOTA's DeFi ecosystem.
From season three onwards, elites are allocated eco-bound tokens.
The amount and type of eco-bound tokens an elite receives is determined by his class and dynasty. Players collect their eco-bound tokens from The New Elites website during wars.
The eco-bound tokens distribution fluctuates based on evolving incentives and game-mechanics.
Season three introduces a market on The New Elites website, where players can buy/sell game assets using $ECO-BOUND tokens. Players can also buy $ECO-BOUND tokens with $IORO to secure more point generating potential. The intention is to also introduce game perks that are only available through the market with $IORO.
